The Calm After the Storm
Wow! A tropical storm making landfall in November! That's very rare. According to The Weather Channel, only three hurricanes have made a November landfall in the U.S. since 1851.
We are pleased to report that Gulf Shores Plantation did not receive any damage. We worked in advance of Ida's arrival to secure all patio and pool furniture and any other items that might be blown around.
Thankfully the storm weakened a great deal before landfall and generated little more than high surf, heavy rains and strong winds.
Your thoughts and prayers during and after the storm have all been greatly appreciated. We are looking forward to a return of a calm autumn.
